J&T Express: Embrace Sustainability

J&T Express is dedicated to playing our part in green logistics and taking steps to drive sustainability.

Root for a greener future

OneMillionTrees Movement

In line with World Environment Day on 5th June 2023, we joined Singapore Logistics Association's '50 Trees' event to celebrate their 50th anniversary, supporting Singapore's OneMillionTrees Movement to restore greenery to our city and moving towards to National Parks Board's City in Nature vision, a vital pillar of the SG Green Plan 2030.

It is a great honour for our team to meet and interact with Ms Grace Fu, Minister of Sustainability and the Environment, fellow industry players, partners and SLA members at this event. Together, we will continue our efforts to promote environmental health and build a sustainable future.

We make a difference

Beach Clean-up Day

At J&T Express, we envision a sustainable future with a healthy environment. To own that future, concrete actions are needed to make a difference. This is why our team facilitated a Beach Cleanup Day on May 19 to make that come true. In just a few hours, we collected a whopping 50kg of trash, from plastic cups, bottles, styrofoam boxes, cigarette buds, and even a clay pot!
As a company, we believe in building and growing our sustainability efforts by enhancing our awareness and initiatives on the environmental impact. We are committed to doing our part by preserving the environment for future generations.

In our Daily Operations

We work closely with our vendors and partners to recycle plastics, cardboard, and wooden pallets at our sorting centers, Additionally, we customise recycle bags in various sizes to replace one-time plastic bags.

Our J&T Express warehouses switched from halogen bulbs to light-emitting diode bulbs. This creates a brighter, safer, and more sustainable workplace for our employees while reducing our electricity consumption and carbon emissions.

you can play your part too

Here are some practices you can adopt to #investinourplanet.

Opting for eco-friendly materials can help reduce waste and promote sustainability. Bio-degradable bubble wraps and honeycomb mesh are great alternatives to traditional packaging materials that can take years to decompose.

Consider partnering with local recycling vendors for all your packaging waste and recyclables, to minimize your impact on the environment and ensuring that your items are disposed of properly.

Reduce the use of one-time plastics, if needed, consider repurposing and reusing the plastics to extend its use! Have a bunch of extra paper? consider re-using them as additional cushioning for your parcels!
